The foundation is laid by clarifying the diagnostic criteria for each condition and highlighting the key distinguishing features that will greatly assist practitioners in their recognition of each.

Following on from this, evidence regarding the risk factors, current understanding of associated pathophysiology, orthodox treatment and the efficacy of this and the potential role for nutritional medicine is presented for each disorder. Particular attention is also paid to looking at broader management issues pertaining to each presentation e.g. corrective dietary changes, exercise regimes etc. and the presentation includes several case studies to illustrate the key teaching points.
