I’ve received so much lovely feedback (fan mail!) recently I just had to share some with you (note I look much more excited than Meg does when I get mine!). It’s so exciting to be a part of our burgeoning naturopathic & integrative network.  From Alyssa Tait a Brisbane based naturopath, clinical nutritionist & physiotherapist: “I am so appreciative of your mentoring and your professional development (e.g. recent Health Masters Live webinars). You make me really enthusiastic about being in this field, and you actually help me feel like I sort of know what I’m doing…most of the time!!”

And from Susan Hunter a Melbourne based naturopath:“I just wanted to drop you a line to say I think you are doing amazing things for the naturopathic profession. I am a practitioner that is in my 8th year of consulting (a couple of breaks to have kids but back in the swing of things)…I am blown away by your breadth of knowledge. I have learnt so much in such a short time. Your evidence based yet holistic approach is amazing. Just what our industry needs. I just wanted to say you truly are inspiring and I aspire to be as good at my job as you are!”

Just so you know, I send my own fan mail to the people who support me in practice.

I think we all need colleagues who we can talk to about our difficult clients, share tips & ideas. Often it’s useful to make sure you have some formal structure to your support – even if this is just committing to a monthly catch up with your colleagues and putting aside the desire for a good chinwag for taking turns at presenting cases.  Alternatively, if you’re not hooked in with local practitioners consider joining a Facebook group, a mentoring group aimed at your specific level (check out our services at https://rachelarthur.com.au/mentoring/ ) and of course there’s conferences & company seminars (but keep in mind you will need to sift through the potential bias whenever education comes from anyone who who wants to sell you a product). The more we support each other the better and if you haven’t got yourself a support network either face to face or virtual yet then there’s something out there for you…start asking around 🙂
