While health professionals across many modalities are more engaged in conversations about Chronic Kidney Disease, being increasingly aware of its prevalence and the need for earlier identification, it seems many of these conversations fall short of identifying solutions. The ‘solution’ is not a singular thing, just like CKD represents a heterogenous collection of very different aetiologies, presentations and complications. So to know how to stabilise or improve declining renal function in an individual, and offer them a ‘course-correction’, we need to first map out their unique cluster of causes, catalysts and contributors.
